Jane Frances Collins, 81, passed away Sunday at home surrounded by her loving family and the love of her life by her side. She was born in 1936 to the late Edward and Elizabeth Lyons. Jane’s passion in life was her family, from raising her children to watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow, she enjoyed every minute of it. Jane loved to have family gatherings, especially birthday parties. She found great enjoyment in daily mass, listening to her Irish music and cheering on the New England Patriots. She leaves her loving husband of 61 years Dr. James J. Collins, her four sons; James (Elizabeth) of Manchester, CT., Francis (Karen) of Spfld,. Dr. Sean (Sharon) of Southwick, Dr. Michael (Julie) of Granby, MA., her four daughters; Jane Lintner of Wilb., Karen Clark of Holyoke., Moira (Paul) Zubrowski of Brunswick, GA., and Linda (Mark) Thibeault of Westfield. She was predeceased by her son Edward Collins and daughter Lisa Collins. Jane also leaves her 34 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her brother Edward Lyons of Westbrook, CT., and sisters Elizabeth Davidson of Hampden, Mary O’Connor of Spfld., Georgiann Fosque of Westbrook, CT., and Kathleen Schrum of Richlands, NC., along with many nieces and nephews. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held SAT. 11 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 387 Chestnut St., Spfld. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling Hours will be held FRIDAY from 4 to 7 PM at SAMPSON’S CHAPEL OF THE ACRES, 21 TINKHAM RD., SPFLD. In lieu of flowers, it was Jane’s wish that memorial donations be made to the Sacred Heart Church, Renovation Fund, 395 Chestnut St., Spfld, MA 01104
