Karen M. Hawley-Nason, 48, passed away Tues. Nov. 7, 2017. She was born Sept. 24, 1969 to the late Robert and Clara Hawley. Karen attended Cathedral High School and worked for several years as a dispatcher for Answer One. An avid sports fan, she liked the Celtics and Patriots and playing softball. Karen also enjoyed gardening, the beach and going to Newport, RI. She leaves her loving daughters; Erica Nason of Easthampton and Emily Nason of Spfld, her grandson Harold E. Pretlow III, her brothers; Robert of E. Long., Richard of Spfld., Christopher of GA., and Michael and his wife Susan of RI., her sisters Margaret Sullivan and her husband Gerald of Spfld., and Elizabeth Hawley also of Spfld., along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and her former husband Albert “Bud” Nason. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held FRI 12 NOON in the St. Joseph Chapel at Mont Marie, 36 Lower Westfield Rd., Holyoke, MA. Burial will follow in the Mont Marie Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held FRI. from 10 AM to 12 NOON. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 577 Carew St., Spfld, MA 01104
