Lynne  Virion (Florian)
Wilbraham- Lynne Florian Virion, 62, of Wilbraham, MA, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 8, 1955 to Joan Whiting Florian and the late U. Francis Florian, she was raised in Wilbraham and was a 1973 graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School and went on to attain her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University in journalism. She began her career as a sales representative for Insurance Center of New England in Agawam, Massachusetts and then as a group health account manager for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company in their Houston, Texas office. She worked in the group health field for MassMutual and other companies for over three decades prior to her retirement five years ago. Her career gave her the opportunity to engage in her favorite activity as she traveled across the United States and Europe on many business and personal excursions and saw many of the world’s most beautiful locales. Upon coming back to western Massachusetts, Lynne married the late Charles Virion in 1991. Five years later they greeted a new baby girl, Paula, who was the love of Lynne’s life. Lynne enjoyed writing and playing with her dog Sophie. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her daughter Paula Virion of Bondsville; her brothers, Dean Florian, of Venice, FL; David Florian, of Longmeadow, MA; and Alan Florian, of Sarasota, FL; her dear friend Lauren Varelas; and many extended family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lynne’s memory may be made to Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, P.O. Box 202, Franklin, MA 02038.
