East Longmeadow – Elaine E. (Dunn) Hartman, 68, of East Longmeadow, passed away July 5, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. Elaine, daughter of the late James E. Dunn Sr. and Dorothy E. (Heisler) Dunn, was born in Springfield on June 14, 1950. Raised in Springfield, she was a graduate of Commerce High School. Later she attended classes at Holyoke Community College. A long time dietary professional, she worked in the healthcare industry for over 36 years, where she easily garnered the trust and respect of her peers. Elaine was very devoted to her family and hosted many holiday dinners and family gatherings. She enjoyed traveling and spending weekends at the beach with family and friends especially walking along the boardwalk in Niantic, CT with Al. She was a resident of East Longmeadow for over 40 years and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church. Elaine will be missed by all who knew her, including her loving sons, Robert Hartman and his wife Amy and David Hartman and his wife Kimberly; her brothers, James Dunn Jr. and Daniel Dunn; her sister Dorothy Poehler; her grandsons, Andrew and Ethan Hartman; and her beloved and faithful companion, Al Weaver; her nieces, Beth Dunn, Kelly Mortimer, Sharon Ashey and their families; any many extended family members and friends. Visiting Hours for Elaine will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 4PM to 7PM at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. Family and Friends are invited to meet directly at St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow, at 10AM on Friday, July 13, 2018 for Elaine’s Liturgy of Christian Burial. Rites of Committal and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elaine’s memory may be made to Springfield Rescue Mission, PO BOX 9045, Springfield, MA 01101 or American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
