SPRINGFIELD â€" Nicolas â€śNickâ€ť Joseph Iennaco, 20, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 05, 2009 at his home. Nick was born in Springfield on October 19, 1988 a son of the late Vincent J. Iennaco who died September 22, 2004 and Cherie (Calkins) Iennaco of Springfield. Nick was educated in Springfield Schools and attended Brunton Elementary, Kiley Junior High and Central High Schools. Nick was a talented artist who enjoyed music, drawing and being a comedian. Nick will be remembered for his easy going nature and his affectionate ways. Nick is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Cherie; his brother and best friend Anthony Iennaco and his little sister, Alexa Iennaco all at home. Nick is survived by his paternal great grandmother, Alice Iennaco of Granby. He is the maternal grandson of Kay Calkins of Springfield and the late Jim Calkins, paternal grandson of Joelle Iennaco of Springfield and the late Vincent Iennaco. He leaves his aunts, Sandie Cardinale of Springfield; Leeza Swierzewski of South Hadley; Susan Oâ€™Regan Reidy of London, England and his uncle, David Calkins of Wilbraham. Nick will also be missed by his loving cousins, extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Nick will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 4-7 PM at Sampsonâ€™s Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Rd., Springfield (413) 782-5226. A funeral home ceremony will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 12 Noon in Sampsonâ€™s and followed by the burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd., Spfld. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in kind may be made to the Iennaco family.
