Obituary for Norman G. Morin

Norman G.  Morin
Agawam- Norman G. Morin Sr., 92, of Agawam passed away May 4, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. Norman, son of the late Henry and Alice (Fournier) Morin, was born in Springfield on December 18, 1925. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. Norman went on to work as a foreman in the Department of Public Works for the City of Springfield where he retired in 1987. He was also the owner of Fish Grill in Indian Orchard and worked for Walter Whittum Printing for several years. Norman was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Norman enjoyed racing pigeons. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, M. Doris Morin; his brothers, Henry and Fred Morin; his sister, Alice Dubois; and his step sister, Rose Morin. Norman will be missed by all who knew him, including his sons, Norman G. Morin Jr. and his wife Joyce of Clermont, FL, Raymond D. Morin and his wife Dee of Springfield, and Kenneth G. Morin and his wife Cheng Imm Tan of Boston; his grandchildren, Lisa, Beth, Zhenli, AiLi, Norman III, Amy, Michelle, and Jeff; his many great grandchildren; his companion and best friend, Antoinette Towson; and many extended family members and friends. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Norman’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Sampson’s Family Chapels have been entrusted with his arrangements.
