She was an avid parishioner of Holy Family Church in Springfield and more recently a parishioner of St. Michael’s Cathedral in Springfield. Barbara’s favorite pastime were her trips to Maine where she enjoyed the scenery and stargazing. Most of all Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Leon Bassett. Visiting hours for Barbara will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 4pm-7pm at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Rd, Springfield, MA 01129.
