Barbara A. Crowley of South Hadley entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 25 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 20th, 1947 to the late Joseph and Elva (Doty) Crowley in Springfield. Barbara was a graduate of Cathedral High School, and Boston College. She was employed for many years by Digital Corporation and later, Alliance Energy where she retired in 2012. During her retirement, she traveled extensively to destinations in Central America and Europe. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brothers Cornelius “Neil” Crowley and his wife Kathleen and Francis “Red” Crowley, as well as her brother in law Robert Kelly. Barbara will forever be missed by her sister Grace M. Kelly of South Hadley, her sister in law Eileen Crowley of Chicopee, as well as many loving nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the Sampson Funeral home at 710 Liberty St on Tuesday, August 27th, from 9-10:15am for a period of visitation. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow beginning at 11am at Sacred Heart church on Chestnut St in Springfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Barbara’s family has requested that a memorial donation in her memory be made to the Sacred Heart Building Renovation Fund: 395 Chestnut St Springfield, MA 01104.
