Sampson Family Chapels has been serving Springfield area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

For over 130 years, the Sampson family has been providing personal remembrance services to area families at their time of greatest need. Founded by Thomas P. Sampson, who came to the United States from Ireland in 1865, the T.P. Sampson Company quickly established a reputation for professional, compassionate services that has endured for over a century.

To this day, Sampson Family Chapels remains a locally owned, family operated service. Licensed Funeral Director John N. Sampson represents the fourth generation, and Licensed Funeral Director John N. Sampson, Jr. represents the fifth generation of the Sampson family’s commitment to caring and compassionate personal services. Sampson Family Chapels is dedicated to ensuring that families of all faiths, traditions, and backgrounds are able to remember their loved ones in tastefully decorated facilities which provide the comforts of a home-like atmosphere. They now serve the entire area through two locations, each providing spacious visitation rooms, private family areas and ample lighted parking.

Sampson Family Chapels believes that its responsibility to families starts well before the loss of a loved one and does not end with the remembrance services. That is why its funeral directors provide pre-arrangement and guaranteed cost planning counseling to enable families to plan ahead to ease such a burden.

The loss of a family member or loved one is one of the most tragic experiences of life. With over a century of experience, Sampson Family Chapels continues to provide compassionate, personal services to area families when they need it most.
